Save The Drama..Favre Will Return
February 26, 2010
This NFL offseason will be filled with a talented combine, leading to a highly anticipated draft, followed by some fun trade negotiations… Missing anything? Well, if its anything like last offseason, Brett Favre will be making some unnecessary headlines again. Is he coming back? When will he make a decision? Blah Blah Blah. Been there done that. Lets hold the drama and just assume the old man will return for his final season. It only makes sense that he returns. Brett would be returning to the same Viking team he led to the NFL Championship and has already built reliable chemistry with. Also, with the type of player Brett Favre is, it’s extremely hard to believe he will end his career on the last toss he threw which ended any Vikings Super Bowl aspirations. Childress has already learned his lesson from last year and has notified Favre to “take his time.” Childress also should recognize that Brett is going to skip training camp again and you can’t blame him. You know Brett still has the talent in him after last season’s performance so why put a 40 year old champion through 4 months of QB training in the muggiest months Minnesota has to offer. Let the 3 time MVP milk his wounds, relax in his Missouri rocking chair, and prepare mentally not physically for the up-coming season. Save the drama.

Yep, I think you are right in saying Favre will return. Of course it will be blown way out of proportion, but he will eventually decide to come back for I think his last season. He has developed some great relationships and will want to try and win a Super Bowl next year. I think the time he spending right now is getting him mentally prepared for the season to come.

I think the you are absolutely correct about the Brett Favre situation. It’s also hilarious to think that he basically gets whatever he wants. I’m not saying that it’s not deserved, I just think it’s funny. He definitely fits in with the Viking’s offense. I don’t think he will retire, but he has ended his last three seasons poorly. I wonder where he will draw the line.

Why does he not announce if he is playing or not right now? What is the point of waiting and stringing everyone along? The man is an overgrown child who loves the spotlight more than Sam likes Latkes.
