The Minnesota Twins have played baseball indoors for 27 seasons in the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The franchise and their fans have finally got their wish to play the beautiful sport of baseball outside, the way its supposed to be played. The new stadium is called Target Field and is simply a site to see. The stadium is a 39,504-seat open-air ballpark in the Warehouse District west of Downtown Minneapolis between 5th and 7th Streets, across I94 from the Target Center. The stadium’s opening day this last weekend was a compete success for the Twins organization. They pulled in a solid victory over the Boston Red Sox winning 5 to 2 on a perfect Spring day.

The year’s first major in golf was filled with dramatic success. The ever anticipated return of Tiger Woods kept everyone on their toes but the Tiger was slayed by its own mistakes and a difficult golf course. Hats off to Phil Mickelson for a well deserved Master’s Victory. The man has really been through a lot this past year with his wife’s cancer situation. It was great to see Phil’s emotional celebration with her on the 18th hole. Lee Westood has fallen short again but it is only a matter of time before he wraps up a major victory. It was noted that Mickelson congratulated Westwood personally in the clubhouse on a terrific few rounds of golf. He also gave him some advice telling him to keep at it because he was in the exact same position a few years ago. Mickelson has now joined the few legendary golfers who have won this difficult tournament 3 times.

Some young guns to look out for…

Anthony Kim: Ak has been playing some incredible golf this year and if he stays healthy he will really be a force to be reckoned with. The man has proven time after time that he is capable of going low on any golf course in any conditions. Once he figures out his tee ball the man will really be scary.

Rory Mcllroy: This 20 year old phenom is said to be the next Tiger Woods.  That is saying a lot but this youngen from Northern Ireland has tremendous potential

Ryan Moore: The NCAA player of the year not too long ago is going to be a world ranked player for years to come. This is a young player who plays on amazing feel. Literally though, the man does not use yardage markers on some shots according to his caddy.  He guesses the yardages judging strictly by feel. Now that is impressive.
