Minnesota Twins Enjoying Some Fresh Air
April 16, 2010
The Minnesota Twins have played baseball indoors for 27 seasons in the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The franchise and their fans have finally got their wish to play the beautiful sport of baseball outside, the way its supposed to be played. The new stadium is called Target Field and is simply a site to see. The stadium is a 39,504-seat open-air ballpark in the Warehouse District west of Downtown Minneapolis between 5th and 7th Streets, across I94 from the Target Center. The stadium’s opening day this last weekend was a compete success for the Twins organization. They pulled in a solid victory over the Boston Red Sox winning 5 to 2 on a perfect Spring day.

This stadium looks pretty sweet. I don’t really follow other teams than the Rockies, but good for the Twins. You don’t ever hear much about them, and I’m glad they beat the Red Sox.

about time the twins join the good American sport of baseball! i was never a fan of their indoor field, it just was not very baseball. they might unfortunately have a rough time come October if they make post season…i guess not much worse than the Rockies at Coors field though.
